Can someone give me some good performance alignment specs for a stock suspension on an 87 442? I just put new tires on and it needs an alignment. I noticed that the camber curve is stupid on these cars. They really didn't do anything to help these cars handle after a couple of decades. The camber curve seems as bad as the one on my 74.

I am going to guess 1.25 negative camber, 5-6 positive caster or as much as possible and 1/8" total toe in. Sound good?

The car handles fine for moderate driving but when you really beat on it hard, it understeers like crazy. It has a 32mm bar up front but it doesn't keep it from rolling over very good with hard driving. I have replaced the end links with poly links.

My 74 handles better than this pig, although the new links and tires helped quite a bit.

I have Hotchkis TVS system. With kyb shocks and running 245/45/17 ft and 275/40/17 rear. 12"brakes up front and s10 wheel cylinder in the rear. The Spohn three way adjustable pro-touring rear swaybar out back. Here is the specs that I'm running, but I have a taller spindle. I don't know if this helps u out.

Camber: 0 degrees Caster: + 4.0 degrees (left side), + 4.5 degrees (right side) Toe In: 1/16 inch total

Thanks, but being I have a stock setup (for now), those specs probably won't work out to good for me. The caster and toe would work I am sure but the camber definitely won't. I will just try 1.25 negative camber since that worked good on my '74.

32mm bar up front but it doesn't keep it from rolling over very good with hard driving. I have replaced the end links with poly links.

The sway bar from the 80-90's T/A and IROC is larger and should bolt in. ( 34mm solid and 36mm hollow on the f-body. ) But if u want it to handle better change the upper control arms. Money well spent. It will make it so u can use 12" brakes too.

With the set-up I have on the car, it handles great for its size and weight.

I plan on upgrading to the SC&C upper arms with the tall ball joints when I get some money flowing.

I have heard of using 12" S-10 brakes on these cars without changing upper arms.
