I have that one...it works okay for what I need. Be sure and seal it up real good.....silicone all the joints etc etc... it leaks like hell. Especially if you dont have any form of vaccum on it... the pressure builds up even if you keep the vent open.

X2. I had to seal every seam in mine. I use my shop vac with a HEPA filter as dust collection on the back. What are you guys using for media? I used sand witha respirator for a while, but looking for something else. I will have lots of little items to do before long.

I've got that one also. I used RTV on the seams too. That's a must. I hated the stock light. Install a PAR halogen flood lamp in it and you'll love it. Overall not bad for the money. It's one of the few HB items that works fairly well. I use the aluminum oxide for media. If you are blasting something with paint that chips off in chunks, then it'll clog up, otherwise it flows pretty decent.

I'll try the oxide. I have a screen I use when I pour the media back into the pot to filter the chunks-o-chit. What are you guys using for your blasting gun or pressure setup? I bought the HF 40 lb pressure pot setup. It works decent, but wore the ball valve out at the gun end pretty fast. I still use it with the valve worn out. I thought about buying a better gun that uses something other than the ball type valve.

Or are you guys still using the siphon gun that came with it? Mine didn't seem to work worth a damn so I bought the pressurized pot setup.

I use the original siphon feed gun. It gets clogged from time to time... I put my hand over the nozzle and back blast the air and it usually starts to work again

I tried my shop vac on it for awhile but the noise got real old real fast and I was worried I was gonna burn out the motor

Hate the light too

Yeah light Sucks! I do same with my gun as Drjdvm when it stops up. Yeah shop vac is to loud and worried also about burning up.

I have a similar cheapo. I have a vacuum on it too. HD and Lowes carry cheap vacuums you can use as sacrificial lambs - HSD has a 'bucket' vac for like $20. I plan on adding a water catch like they use for drywall sanding to try to help the vac. I wear hearing protection while I use it. Updated the light too. lol but it is great for small parts, etc.

Guess I need to give the gun another try that came with it.

I've had and used the heck out of the same cabinet for several years now.

I did some upgrades to it a few years back in the form of the TP tools Import Cabinet siphon tube / gun kit. Nice that I can now get carbide tips for the gun and run Black beauty through it for heavy rust removal and cast materials cleaning.

Years ago, I bought a 12' clear / white Rope light kit and secured it around the inside of the front lower and upper panels along with the far side wall and wired it into the light switch up top.. I also added a coalescing filter with a separate regulator at the inlet and it has performed well for many years.

This is a tool many friends envy and I will always have something to clean for others, beside my own projects!
