building my 2004 nissan frontier as a pro touring style build so far ive costom built the triangulated 4 link rear suspension and a tubular adjustable front suspension wit a set of coil overs on all four corners not sure witch coilovers im gonna run yet but its set up for them any input would be helpful it to me fits this catagory more than any other but not sure if it would be acepted in the pro touring community ive got the rb25det nissan skyline motor for it and will be installing it soon gonna rebuild it first and change the turbo and injectors and engine management system also should be arround 400hp low boost and anywhere between 700 and 1000hp on a high boost setting trying for arround 700hp on high but may have a little extra according to what happens when its dyno tuned having trouble finding wheels that i like but ill figure that out later would like a 17 x 10 rear and a 17x9 front but not sure i can find them in that size anyway whats yalls oppinion now that you see the buildsheet

Don't get caught up in definitions. Just build the truck to be faster and improve the brakes and the handling. People enjoy a variety of builds here on the board, especially if there is a lot of fabrication. Anybody can or should respect the wrench time you put in on the truck even if it doesn't fit into their definition of "pro touring."

You'll find a LOT more people and info in the appropriate forum. Trust me. I used to have a bagged Tacoma and most recently a Nissan Armada as a tow vehicle.

You'll find a hell of a lot more info about trucks, 4 links, bags at forums like titanforums and sportruck. Either way welcome to the forum and goodluck with your project.

Yeah, I'm not sure what will be said about my project, once I post up a thread. It's not a muscle car, it's not even a domestic. lol

It will be nice to see some details on a canyon carver that can haul. :D

There's some odd choices for Pro-Touring vehicles in here so you should fit in. There's a dude with an Astro van and an S-10 Blazer.
I like what you're shooting for and with you going with coil overs instead of air bags should be a testament to your focus on performance and not wanting to just put the bumper on the pavement. Seems like it would be way more bad azz than an Xtreme GM truck.

So you're from P.R.? I just moved out of Hancock County (BSL) to San Diego. I lived down there for 7 years. I'll try to make it back every year for Cruizin the Coast. With what people say about the grammar, as long as you put periods at the ends of your sentences it makes it so much easier to read. Nothing worse than trying read the information AND determine where you are typing a different sentence, it's like one long azz sentence. Confusing.

JMO, but i don't see how anything modern can be pro-touring. And maybe that comes down to my definition, but i've always looked at it as an "older car" with setup to handle and move like as well as a modern car or better.

I could see "pro touring" if you were talking like a 1980 nissan hardbody, but a newer frontier set up to handle is just a sport truck, or a tacky/fugly monstrosity in the "mini-truck category"(yeah yeah tastes and whatnot, but not ever automobile culture has taste)

That's where we are going to be limited. We can offer general theory all day, but the sport truck sites are going to have a lot more hands on experience with what works well for your application. Not trying to run you off, just might be worth a look over there too!

Nope. I'm going to rock the Hancock County, Mississippi tags as long as I can.
