300, th400, or 700r4

OK guys,

I have a 68 Camaro and got a sweet deal on a ZZ4 Fast Burn 350 today. I'll taking it to a shop for the swap in a week or so. Currently I have a 350 which seems to be lurching between 1st and 2nd. I was talking to the shop and they recommended the TH400. I mentioned the 700r4 and they said they don't really prefer them due to the TV cable causing issues. What do you guys think I should go with? I wont be hitting the strip and will mainly use this for weekend cruises. Also, anybody have suggestions on where to get the tranny from or have one laying around?

hands down the 700. overdrive will be your friend when cruising and it can handle all the power that the zz4 will dish out. I can't think of one reason to do a 400. Any trans shop should be able to get it set up properly.

Find another shop maybe.... "TV cable causing issues"? a few vendors have kits that solve this problem. I run the BTO TV Made EZ and it was a super easy install. So I vote for the 700r4, the deep first and OD make it a winner for street use.
