Hi y'all, been lurking the site a few days and figured I would join to be able to use everything (links to pics, etc.) as well as to throw in my 2 cents every now and then.
I was in to sports cars since I was old enough to know what a car was, my parents like to say my first word was Carbette- since I couldn't pronounce Corvette. As I got older I started falling for 67 and 68 Camaros, especially the RS. I loved the clean look they had but still wanted something that could stop and turn. One day I saw a pic of a clean 1st gen with 17" C4 ZR1 wheels and I was in love. The timing hasn't been right for a 1st gen Camaro so I've been through a 78 MGB, a few 4th Gen Camaro SS's, and now have a 02 35th Anniversary Edition SS Convertible with 6k miles that stays in the garage and an 08 Pontiac G8 GT for a daily driver and weekend toy. The Camaro is staying original and mint. The G8 has the usual intake/tune/exhaust making about 425hp as well as full Pedders suspension with coilovers, sway bars, etc. It's sweet for a family sedan. Things are looking good for that Camaro project in the next couple of years so I'll be here to soak up ideas and knowledge.
My dream is a 67 or 68 Camaro with the RS grille and an overall clean look with an LS motor, manual trans and set up for a road course but still barely street legal. I'm thinking 17in Minilite style wheels with slicks for race days and some nice 18" with a fat lip in the rear for the street. Hopefully I can get there in this lifetime. If you took the time to care to read this, thanks, looks like I'll be in good company. Here's a few pics of my cars:

love the G8, the camaro not so much. I guess the last 4th gen makes me sad for what GM did to them.

where in New Orleans are you? my wife is from a little town up the river called Vacherie. and since you're new here, tradition holds you need to send some muffelettas or po' boys to everyone!

I'm in Slidell, I have family in Vacherie. Muffelattas and po-boys may not be too good by the time they get to PA. It's king cake time here right now...mmmm
