The sound on my laptop will work if I am playing solitaire, but wont work if I try to watch a youtube video or any other video. When I try to use the web cam to talk to the grandparents, we can see each other but cant hear them. I went to the control panel and the speakers are on. The laptop has windows vista. If anyone can help before I take this thing to the shop I would appreciate it.

sounds like a conflict between either your software or hardware drivers. Have you tried anythign to fix it?

no, I am a computer dummie so I have no clue where to start. Someone at work said to go to the internet options in the control panel, that its probably internet related. I couldnt find anything sound related in the internet options.
