My questions are the Following... mainly for the Buick V8 owners.

What oiling systems are you running to prevent oil starvation in those long tight turns?
Pans?
Sumps?
Remote tanks?
Remote Filters?
Oil Coolers?

Speaking of Coolers?
Power Steering?
Trans?

What kind of carb?
What was done to prevent fuel starvation?
Or... Fuel Injection?
thanks

I cant say for certain if this applies to the buick V8, but on Oldsmobile V8's, they have some oiling issues when you start running them hard that are fairly easy to remedy. Oil restrictors in the block above the mains and below the camshaft help a bunch. The top end and valvetrain do not need the large amount of oil that they get with factory machining. Another weak link is the oil pump pickup tube. Its very small diameter and restricts flow. An aftermarket bolt on pick up along with a good quality oil pump helps a bunch. Naturally if you have room for a larger oil pan then thats a huge plus too. Again, this is Oldsmobile fixes but I would guess they apply to the buick block too. Its something to check into.
