I have a factory fold down rear seat from a previous 67 RS my dad owned. The fold down rear seat was extremely rare and it very difficult to find. I will include the seat bottom and seat back, The carpet on the rear of the seat is still in good shape and so is the seat cover. I have seen these for sale at swap meets in very rough shape (needing recovered and new carpet, etc) selling for over $800. I am going to ask $1000 for mine and I think its a great price based on my research. If you are interested you can PM me at [email protected] or give me a call or text at 478-320-8917

thanks

Yes they are valuable, I had one in mine and took it out and traded it for about $1000 worth of parts or more plus a new regular rear seat.

I sold mine for $300 complete, I think there more rare on camaros.net for the 1000pt restorer, I definately have never seen one sell for $1000 or even close to $800, GLWS,

Well when I was trading mine I called Ricks and they told me 800 to 1000. I didn't care because I didn't like it or need it. Maybe I got a good deal out of mine, but the guys at Rick's told me the same thing that he is asking, but I no expert I just know what I got for mine.

I have one that I narrowed to fit with my DSE mini tubs. A lot of work, but it turned out great. However, I'm thinking about going a different route now because the thing weighs a ton!

Does it come with the filler panels and arm rests?? in order to make it complete your going to need those.

ye I had the filler panels and armrest with mine and it all had been redone new so that may be the reason I got good money out of mine. If I recall you cannot buy the filler panels aftermarket.

Just seen this thread about the fold down rear seat. I just purchased a 1969 Camaro X55 SS350 car that has 68,000 original miles, original engine, Muncie M22 4-speed, and 12 bolt posi. Frost green with black standard interior with the fold down rear seat. The interior looks and functions just as it did when the car was new ! It had sat in the previous owners garage sence 1977. All original floor and trunk pans with no rust ! The trunk still has the original spatter paint in it. However it does need some VERY MINOR work on the rear quarters and front fenders. But until I found this car I had never even seen one with the fold down rear seat.

still have seat brackets.

I have a pair of the fold down seat mounting brackets that I removed from my car
They were new from Classic Industries
Changed direction on my car, sold the seat, but still have the brackets

Jeff do you still have brackets? I would be interested. I'm just missing one side. Buying whole seat for one bracket, seems silly so...
