Something close to the final image.

This is part of a larger, less automotive related project but I was reading in another post about the proportions of the new Camaro and it mirrored the feelings I've had about new cars in general for some time, so I figured I'd post this. I'm just snapping a screen shot at the end of each butt time session at my computer, so the progress is kinda random. All the mods are subtle but I sectioned the car by what would only be a couple inches in real life I suppose. The goal was just to improve the proportions of the car for this project, just make it look cooler, not worry about what really can and can't be done. It's dark because it will be a night time image with lots of lighting effects when it's all said and done. Anyway, there will also be a Camaro with the same sort of treatment. My brother is working on it and I'll post some WIPs of it too.

I honestly can't tell since it's a Mustang. Of the retro cars I think the Mustang is the only one that does not have that weird or excessively huge side profile like the Challenger and Camaro. Of course, the mustang did have rather tall doors originally anyway. The scene sounds like it will be pretty cool though. Will you or can you post the finished product when you guys finish it? I love seeing this stuff. I can't draw to save my life so all my designs are stuck in my head

That I know of right now this isn't a top secret project. It's going to be a limited edition signed and numbered deal. It may be exclusive to the show (a pop culture kind of thing) it's going to in Seattle, I'm not sure, but the whole thing is supposed to have a Seattle theme. I think posting the final image is great to generate some interest. I just posted some more bits and pieces at my blog. http://odellstudios.blogspot.com/

As far as the car goes, I also like the Mustang best of the 3. The sectioning is most noticable in the bumper I think. It appears narrower which helps the front end some to me and I made the pitch from the bumper down a little more drastic. I'm also getting rid of most of the plastic junk.

Now, I can see the pitch in the bumper. That definitely helps the front in look better. Thanks Colter. I'll wait patiently for the final product. It sounds great having a Seattle back ground. That's a pretty part of the country

Another update for ya. It's really a complete image at this point but it's looking like I'm going to have to change the arrangement to accommodate other elements. Like I said, this isn't a totally automotive related project.

Yep, trying to tie in little things here and there that the crowd might pick up on. There are a handful of others in there too.
