Ok so i've been looking into some cams from hpe for the ls2 specifically the megadeth cam kit but i've heard alot of bad things about hpe and their customer service and wrong part issues....I was curious as to what cams for the ls2 n/a some of you guys like to run and have seen the most numbers with along with a lower intake manifold and carb

I did a ton of research on this before selecting my cam. I looked at the fastest N/A cars in the country with stock longblocks and found that 7 out of the top 10 were running the Trex 2.0 cam from Thunder Racing. I spoke with them and some other guys running this stick at the track. My car trapped 124 MPH- bone stock '03 LS1 longblock, Victor intake, 750HP carb, MSD 6010 box with this cam and the supporting valvetrain. A couple buddies of mine were running the MS4 from Texas Speed and have now switched over to the Trex to get more power under the curve. Specs are 242/248 .608/.612 110lsa. Piston to valve clearance is very tight, but easily doable on a stock engine. With an LS2 and your stock 243s you should expect 430 or so RWHP. port those 243s and look for 470 RW. Hope that helps.
