Hey P-T community - once again OPTIMA Batteries is the Official Power Source of the GoodGuys Rod and Custom Association, and an official GoodGuys autocross sponsor. This year, we've stepped it up and we're also sponsoring the coveted Street Machine of the Year Award, given out in Columbus.

We've also upped our GoodGuys event participation with 10 shows on the schedule. We have room to feature two - three cars per event, so we're putting out the casting call to P-T members! If you're planning on attending any of the following GoodGuys events and feel your car is feature worthy, please send me an email with pics to [email protected]. Please do not use PM's as I'm remiss in picking them up in a timely fashion.

Things to note:
- Car will be placed prominently in the OPTIMA display rig
- This is first come/first picked
- An OPTIMA Battery is required - if you don't have one we'll install one
- Car must be available all weekend from Friday at 8AM to Sunday at 3PM
- You are still eligible to register for judging and participate in the AX
- If you win a category, it's OK to move the car to the Winner's Circle on Sunday
- If your car is chosen, you will receive a certificate for a free OPTIMA battery and some cool OPTIMA swag
- You'll need to sign a photo and video release
- Around the clock security is provided so you can leave the car in the display all weekend if you wish - bring a car cover
- If you leave each day, you cannot leave until 5PM and must arrive back in the display the next morning before 8AM

We need display cars for the following events:

Pleasanton - 3/26-27
Del Mar - 4/1-3
Nashville - 5/20-22
Columbus 7/8-10
Chicago - 8/12-14
Kansas City - 9/2-4
Indianapolis - 9/16-18
Fort Worth - 9/30-10/2
Charlotte - 10/28-30
Scottsdale - 11/18-20

We really appreciate your support and look forward to featuring some of the best pro-touring cars in the world! Thanks!

Jimi,
you shouldn't have a problem filling the booth at Pleasanton, but if you do...I can park my (real world) daily driver in your booth.

It's not perfect, but it gets me where I'm going everyday and it already has an Optima.

Jimi, I'd be more than happy to park the '69 with you guys in Del Mar. We picked up a GM design award at SEMA, so it is definitely show worthy. It will be spending most of its time on the autocross Fri-Sat though, and will probably have cone rash by Sunday. :)

My '73 RS can share booth space with Tony at Pleasanton in March. No autocross at that event so it can stay planted at the booth all weekend.

As long as we can still Auto X, you're more than welcome to use the Road Runner for Del Mar and Pleasanton.

I would gladly bring my 69 Camaro to Pleasanton, but it's not show quality... just pretty nice with a 25 yr old Imron paint job...

Is there any organized "Pro-Touring.com" area at any of the Good Guys? If not it seems like a great way to show off the members rides and for members to meet... and a great way to advertise this site....
