The second wheel is actually a one-off wheel. Unless I am mistaken, I think it was designed and built by Marquez Design for his ENSELE '56 Project. You can see the wheels on his website.

PTS you need to try and have a thought before you try and express one. Have you thought about sponsoring Yellow Bullet?

First pic is definitely off of the Anvil Mustang. One offs by EVOD wheels. Would LOVE to see those made. I would be all over a set to replace my Minilite reps.

Can we play nice in the same sandbox? This isnt yellowbullet, and if it becomes like their site I wont be hanging around. We share ideas here, help each other and enjoy what others bring to the table. If there's something a person doesnt like about another member, dont read their posts. If its a forum sponsor, and you have a beef...there's a way to handle it. Don't know what that is...contact a moderator.

Ok, not know who or what Yellow Bullet is? I am sorry you made a post like that, and I wont argue cuz you definitely said enough...
In the wheel market everyone wants to make a statement and yes maybe I am as well. I am simply burned out looking at cookie cutter wheel designs. PTS is simply looking for advice from real enthusiasts to see if we can offer a new product. I assume that this is the right place to bring new ideas to the table?

Personally, I love the wheels on the Anvil Mustang and I'd like to have a set. They are a great looking wheel.

I think its a great idea to go a forum and ask what people want. Its not something companies do anymore. your definately going about it the right way to be successful by doing some homework on what people want. The downside is, cookie cutter wheels that appeal to the masses is where money can be made. Making low production wheels for a specific nitch is a harder sell. Most people will look at a million wheels, and choose the one that is closest and cheapest to the style they want. which nowadays, just about any manufacture will have similar wheels in the lineup.
As for comparing desgins to other makers, I dont think anyone can make a wheel design that doesn't look like a wheel that someone else already made. there are so many manufacturers out there over so many years, it would be nearly impossible to come up with a truly original design.
As for styles, its hard to say. The classic torq thrust wheel was the all mighty wheel for a long time. But now, the trend has gone for less bling, light weight, mesh or web style. The mag 5 spoke wheels are taking a back seat with pro-touring cars. You have to design a wheel that will look good painted or natural finish. Also, since backspacing has increased on pt cars, designing a wheel that has a small dish, yet still looks good is becoming hard to do. I haven't seen too many wheels with a small dish that look good, at least to me. The mag wheel just doesn't look good without a dish.
Just my opinion. But I thinks its great your asking what people want. Hopefully you'll get some good responses.

That first one looks a lot like the discontinued Edelbrock wheels that Scott Parkhurst runs on his wagon...

The first one is most definitely the Anvil Mustang wheel, and the second we all know is on Marquez's 57 and both wheels were cut and built by Shaun at EVOD as one off designs, ( Shaun: great guy, cool dude, and one of our friends).

I like both sets. I really like the first set. Like said before it is very hard to design a wheel that hasn't been designed or at least one that is very similar. Every wheel that seems to look good seems to cost around 4k. Most people can not afford to spend this just for wheels. I would like to see a nice wheel designed for a little less. I am not saying under 1k but not 5k after you buy tires. Anyways I like the wheels and good luck.

Those Anvil Mustang wheels are sick...loved them the very first time I saw them...looks like a mid-60's GP wheel!

The wheels that are posted are of one-off designs for Anvil and for Marquez that I built. I am not sure why pictures of these wheels are in this forum but I assure you that neither of these exact wheels are becoming production based wheels.
