I'm thinking of getting an LY6 crate motor, and I'd like to use the corvette accessories w/KWIK ac bracket:

But I seem to see some of the posts suggesting w/VVT there is a spacing issue. Assuming I'm going to keep VVT, what is the soln to get this accessory drive system to work? I really like how this looks for my install in a 71 A-body.

Appreciate any counsel.

Currently building 73 Camaro w/ LY6 and T56, keeping VVT.
I am using a 2010 camaro water pump and 1.5" spacer that I machined to space the vette alt brkt out to match. Not running AC at the moment. May add it later. Could also use an older f-body water pump and buy a set of spacers available from several vendors.

*edit* Water pump was changed to clear LS3 intake and throttle body.

[QUOTE=lolife55;761173]Currently building 73 Camaro w/ LY6 and T56, keeping VVT.

Do all accessories need spacers to move out? Which vendor sells a complete kit? I think I'll have plenty of room to move out an inch or two, but I want this to be no problem and factory looking.

Also, what is involved in canning the VVT so I can use the accessories above as is? Any opinions on whether it is worth keeping?

I don't have mine running yet to way in on whether or not the vvt is worth it or not. For now I am going to keep it though. If I remember correctly, to get rid of it you need LS2 cam and cover. Then you would need a new water pump and crank pulley to bolt up the vette stuff as is. If you keep the vvt you only need one 1.5" spacer for the vette alternator/ps bracket and the kwik AC setup. Problem is I don't know of anyone making spacers for that. I had to machine my own.

As was pointed out, the VVT moves the accessories out to the truck spacing.
How about using the Kwik AC and alternator/PS pump bracket, both spaced for the truck pulley?

I have a complete truck accessory drive off of a 9k mile ly6, if your intetested in going that route. Save a few hundred bucks over a new car setup...
