I used to have a classic car shop which I recently sold and now have semi retired. In the "shop years" we built several PT cars for customers and ourselves. This site in the last few years was the inspiration for many of our builds. Now in my hobby shop I have started a new project for myself, by definition (loosely defined) it will be a PT car except the age of the car. Getting up in years I wanted a somewhat creature friendly car that would still perform. My base is a 93 Z28, yes I know it is not a "classic" and is a pretty good performer in stock form. I have completely revamped the chassis with Global West, Hotchkis, Baer braking, and other parts from various vendors. Still running a LT1 with mods w/425rwp, built 700r4 tranny, 373 gears. Being an ole school guy I still relate better to this forum more than the forums for the 4th gen Camaros. No big wheels, running 16s from an 02 SS w/275/40's all the way around. Not looking for acceptance here but I am sure there are several others out there that fall in this catagory (or non-catagory). I just cant seem to relate with the 4th gen guys that are building bling blings with 20's, NOX, and are younger than my first son, lol. Not sure where I am headed with this post, only to say that it is one of the best sites out there. The design, fab work, and ingenuity on some of ya'lls cars is incredible. Keep up the good work and great site.

Welcome aboard raderrods. Your car certainly fits the mold. While 93 models are a bit new, there really is not line in the sand as to what defines us. As long as you have improved ride, power and handling, you are good to go with us, and it looks like you certainly have all areas covered. 16 inch wheels are fine, don't feel pressured to up size just for the sake of upsizing, most of us just fine that if we are going to upgrade from the factory 14 or 15s that came on the 70s stuff, we go ahead and move up so newer brake packages work or sizes are easier to fine.
I can certainly understand not fitting in on other sites, try explaining a Protoured 65 GTO, 72 Charger or 72 Hornet to those car specific sites...lol
One other thing about this site, while we welcome any one and any age, we tend to be a little older group, or at least don't let there be some of the needless drama found on other sites.
Feel free to post up some pictures of your camaro, we would love to see it, 425 hp if just fine around here.
