How did it work? Does single plane manifold cost much low end torque in daily driving? Would you do it again?

I have not done it, but there are more than a few on LS1tech. IMHO, going to a throttle body or MPI is a step backward from sequential port fuel injection.
LS motors seem to do pretty well even with single plane maifolds, and you can get a carb style manifold with the injector ports. I have seen an SD tune with the stock monoblade TB on top of a carb style manifold. You might want to also check into a 4 barrel TB that can be used with the SFI on a carb style manifold for street use. Kind of the best of both worlds.

Before the EZ EFI system, Retrotekspeed had a similiar system called the BossEFI. Now they've merged with Professional Products and the system is called the Powerjection III.

At the time, I needed a fuel injection system that mounted to a 4150 style. FAST had not come out with EZ EFI then. I have this on my LS1 in my 72 Firebird and I love the car. The self-tuning can take a week or so to work out a few kinks, but it learns FAST. I love it man; I would totally do it again if I were going to build another carbureted engine.

In my opinion, the BossEFI/Powerjection system looks MUCH better than the EZ EFI system. It looks just like a carburetor.

Here are some pics I took of it if you're interested:

I used a dual plane intake manifold since the car is a dd/street car.

I am going that route as we speak. I shoudl be getting it in a few weeks. I have a '69 Olds 442 W30 clone and want to keep the W30 Ram Air dual snorkel air cleaner. I want some of that WTF?! aspect when you lift the hood. I will be posting more pics soon!
