Prayers needed for flood victims
The floods in my home town are expected to break previous records and it is going to get worse before it gets better. We are isolated on all sides now, the river crossing down the road rose 6.5 metres (22 feet) from 6am to 8pm today, that river crossing is now 16.5 metres (55 feet) under water and rising. Things are bad, had to move my 66 Nova sedan to higher ground, just in case. Prayers for my fellow people that are worse off than me would be appreciated.

Link below has coverage of the situation.

I feel your pain!

We experienced the worst flooding in Nashville Tn since records were kept in May 2010.

4 feet of water in my shop. 8 feet in the basement garages and 2 feet in the upper garages. Fortunately no water inside my house.

In comparison to what most folks experienced around me here in Nashville my flood experience with water in the shop and under the house could best be described as "AN INCONVIENCE" when you see other people around you with 4 feet of water IN THEIR HOUSE!

Good luck and most important be safe!

My thoughts and prayers too! I hope you all get a break from all the rain.
It really sucks to see houses going down the river, we have had those scenes
on TV not long ago over here.
Stay safe.

Is there an aid agency that seems to be getting the job done? I'd be happy to contribute what I can.

We have had no power or phone for 4 days, cell phone patchy, got a food drop today from the air force in helicopters. One road out opened late today, fuel is rationed, and shelves at the market are empty. We are surviving though. Had 4 feet of water through one of my sheds though.....that was about 5 feet higher than the previous record. Never thought I would be able to go fishing in my back yard.......But I'm one of the lucky ones, some people have nothing left.
