I have been talking with Jim @ Quicktime about running the TH400 on an LS motor and they do make the parts I need. Here are his comments.....

"The only bellhousing we have available for the TH400 transmission to Chevy is p/n RM-9045. In order to use it with the LS engine, you will need to space the torque convertor out approximately ¼” and use metric bolts to fasten the bell to the engine block. Also, you might have a slight clearance issue between the block plate and back side of the engine. "

Does anyone have any photos of these problem areas for a reference? Thanks.

I am not aware of any clearance issues. Torque converters are hub centric. Bowler made us a converter snout spacer for a conversion a while back.

Go to LS1tech conversions. It's been done plenty of times. Be sure to check the details on the 2 types of flexplates and spacer needed.
This should get you on track.

Oh and mind you; the spacer provided by GMPP might need to be machined (turned down) to make for it to fit properly. So measure before you try to put everything together!
