Yes. But the thing is, I have zero idea when or where this happened. I usually get out and inspect wheels and headers after any sort of bang. It may have happened in the rain.
There is something to be said for a decent sidewall....

If it hasn't changed recently, you can make the City pay for the damages. It is at the fault of the city for not keeping the roads in a safe driving condition. My buddy did it a couple years ago in Long Beach... And another buddy did it a lot when he lived in New York.

Good luck with that one. City's are not responsible unless they knew about the pot hole. It happened to me here in Illinois. The rim is very repairable. Shouldn't cost much more than $100 or less. I had a chunk taken out of my rim and I thought it was trashed. $150 and it was repaired and I couldn't tell it was fixed.
