I Well I have started working on my 67 Dart sedan in the last few months so I may as well get a project update thread started.

First off it looks like most have a project name so I went digging in garage Cd collection to see if I could come up with a name for the Dart. After a bit of digging I found a copy of 80's thrash metal band Razor's album Violent Restitution. On the cover is a bloody chain saw with zoomie headers coming out the side, now my project has a name and a thyme song! Plus the band and me are both Canadian.

The plan, which is subject to change without notice is to build a light, fast for about the same cost as a new Mustang or Camaro about $ 40,000 Can.

The wish list will include:

Chevy LS engine to keep it light.
Alterkation front end
Street lynx rear suspension
Should have a RS 600 trans
Aftermarket Ford 9" rear end
Chromoly cage or roll bar
Pro Car seats.
Kore 3 Brakes

I will try and use parts from companies that are on this site when I can, and will purchase them for local shops around Winnipeg that sell those items.

Some home made 1.5" x 3" sub frame connectors, notched around the frame and plug welded.

my vote would be an aluminum headed small block mopar, ut im kind of a traditionalist.

they weigh about the same, and it will be a LOT easier to make it fit.

alter-k is some good looking stuff, and so is the street lynx. looking forward to seeing it in action.

keep up the good work.

I did look at the new Gen III all aluminium engine that came out from mopar last month, but by the time the engine for 12k the electronics to run it 3k,and the front accessory package for another 2k it's just getting out of the amount of cash that I want to spend.

on the s10, im actually goin back to the yard this weekend to see if the black leather grand am buckets are still there. since its not going anywhere, i may sa well....

and i never said a 3g hemi.
what i meant was an older LA series small block. 4 inch crank for 416. indy heads, port EFI, hydraulic roller. then you can get stuff like headers, hoses, etc for it.

his car, his plan.

This is going to be great! I can't wait to see this come together. I mentioned it in your other thread, but if you want to go LSx do it. It's great to think outside the box. I always kind of chuckle about guys putting 9" rear's in their cars then squawk about a "foreign" engine. If you wanted to go Aluminum 3g Hemi that will kill the pocket book in a hurry, but you can get into the cast iron Hemi with electronics for pretty good deals. Again, the aftermarket isn't there yet compared to the LSx but it's coming, s....l....o....w....l....y....

I'm looking forward to this build. A post even, NICE!

Alterktion ...... Note lack of engine mounts.......

Keep bugging Bill about that minor issue....

If enough of us ask...he just might make it happen.

Great looking build.

LSx powered Mopars, Oh Yeah!

I thought he was mandrel bending those now. Either way, looking good and I'm glad you don't seem to be giving in to the Mopar righteous and are sticking with the LSx. Be different...

It is done with a mandrel, the older ones had the main cradle made out of 3 pieces.
