Just finished restoring/refurbishing my old dresser Friday for our 4 year old Silas. My PapaGeorge built this over 40 years ago and it was mine when I was little (I'm 30 now). I had to do a little bit or work to it then completely sanded it all down and repainted it. Instead of just some typical old drawer pulls, I used Cars diecast as the drawer pulls. I also added a few character wall stickers to each side of the dresser. Silas loves it and it's tons sturdier than anything you could buy today. The best part was my cost was only around $50 in supplies.

Nice work. I'm liking it and I'm a grandfather (but still a kid at heart).

That is really cool with the car pulls. How did you attach them? Getting ready to refinish one for my son and I like that idea.

They are drilled and tapped on the back side for a 1/4-20 bolt. I used button head hex bolts with some medium strength thread locker.
