I just wanted to let everyone know that voting appears to be open for the contest. You'll never guess who I voted for. :D Anyway, I'd appreciate your vote as well and if you could get others to participate, that would be great! There's a lot of great designs in the group and many of the heavy hitters submitted a concept. I was honored to be asked to be a part of it.

When I get a chance, I'll elaborate on what I decided to do with my design as some stuff isn't obvious in the images you'll see. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments guys! Here's a list of what I was thinking as far as the styling mods. This car is representative of what my style of build is for a muscle car. It's sort of a smooth street rod, G-machine. I really like a well-integrated, modern, clean and bold design that enhances the best parts of the car and eliminates the stuff the original stylists had to make concessions on or weren't possible back then. I don't like hanging a bunch of distracting junk on a car, especially when it's non-functional or disrupts the flow of the lines.

Here’s a breakdown of what I modified:

-I’d like it to have a 6.4 L Hemi with a turbo but that may not make it into the car
-Custom mix B5 Blue almost like a Bentley Neptune Blue with satin charcoal accents and stripes
-Custom wheels I designed (18x9 F, 19x12 R with satin charcoal centers and brushed rims)
-RT hood with sliced and flattened center sections
-Shaved trim and handles (remote door poppers to open them)
-Custom side mirrors I designed
-Shaved drip rails
-Flush-mounted windshield and rear glass
-Eliminated exterior B-pillar molding so there is only a parting line between side glass (front glass may need to be moved back slightly)
-Enlarged wheel openings to accommodate larger wheels
-Front wheel opening is moved forward 1.5” to reduce front overhang and enhance handling
-Flush-mounted bumpers
-Custom grill shell and insert with 08+ Challenger headlights
-Custom lower valence and integrated chin spoiler
-Integrated rear lip spoiler with slight drag influence
-Custom rear tail panel with LED tail lights
-Custom billet exhaust tips pass through the rear valence panel
-Low stance with slight rake
-Wedge-shaped rocker extension to make the lower rocker parallel to the ground
-Rocker parting line is extended through the front fender and back of door is resculpted for a modern look
-Custom billet Hemi gas filler with push-pop out cap
-Door/panel gaps are all tightened

The interior will have a clean high tech concept car look with strong Mopar heritage. There will be a billet pistol-grip shifter and asymmetrical console.

such a tough decision. There are a number of really good renderings there. I will so this though, Ben, your rendering does the best at highlighting the details of the car which I think are what really makes a custom car. Your rendering, including other ones I have seen, do the best at selling the design if you will. I also agree tremendously with your design philosophy. Good luck on winning the contest.

Well I decided not to just vote for a fellow member, but rather what I felt was the best design. Luckily, it was still yours. :)
