Early 70's pan fill C4 w/ stock internals
Installed a TCI Manual valve body in it and now it won't stay in park.
I made adjustments to the front band as outlined in the instructions, plugged the servo hole, filed the servo down and plugged the modulator and kick down holes and that is it. No other changes.
Car won't stay in park w/ the TCI mvb or the stock one now. It just slowly turns the wheels and makes a horrible grinding clacking sound which i assume is the trans trying to eat the parking pawl.
I've removed and replaced both valve bodies no less than 10 times in the last month trying to get this right. I am 100% sure that the linkage is in the correct position on the piston.
This was a perfectly functioning trans when I pulled the pan to do this swap.
I do have reverse and 123N, but park spins the wheels forward, when i hit reverse it turns the wheels reverse.
It does this with the shifter disconnected and setting the selector by hand on the side of the trans as well.
