Went to the Nebraska/ Washington Holiday Bowl game last night..... BORING!

Neither team showed up to play but Washington had more points when time ran out.

Tomorrow we are driving to Glendale, AZ to watch the Sooners take on UConn in the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl. That one will be pretty lopsided with UConn not even being ranked. I hope it's a blowout so at least there will be some action, unlike the Holiday Bowl.

weird..we must have been watching 2 different holiday bowls..the one i watched had my huskies revenging a huge loss in sept, and being 2 td underdogs upsetting the cornhuskers! not to mention soph running back chris polk rushed for 177yds, and a td, to give locker a bowl win, and huskies first since 2002! hard to imagine just 2 years ago they were 0-12, beating nebraska WAS PRICELESS! the biggest upset in bowl games this year! I thought it was GREAT!!!!!!!!

I agree! I thought it was a really good game myself. Wa defense looked amped and really threw the huskers off there game.

First, football=boring.

Second, it wasn't so long ago that I had some of the Huskies players in a class I was teaching, so GO HUSKIES!

The way I saw it was not the Huskies throwing NU offense off but NU offense not showing up. Also, the attitude of fans on both sides wasn't amped up for a bowl game. The only real cheering I saw was the sections right behind the Huskies bench.

Not trying to take anything away from the win for you Washington fans. I was just there as a fan of college football, really. I didn't have a dog in that race. NU "was" Big XII, that's the only connection. Sometimes people root for the conference but I was on the fence about favoring NU. They did leave us for not so greener pastures.

Just got back from Phoenix and the weather was great there today. It's so dreary in SoCal right now. OU got a really good win. Hopefully it'll get a monkey off their back about Bowl Games. UConn fans were fun to party with too. OU gave them two easy TD's, a pick 6 and a punt return for TD but other than that it was solid. Now, it was a game where the fans showed up. Everyone was doing the school chants and singing the songs. Everyone was into it. Maybe it was the weather that spoiled the mood for the Holiday Bowl.

I have watched many bowl games this year...I think the most fun to watch was the Pinstripe Bowl with Kansas State and Syracuse...very controversial ending, but damn, if you like scoring, it was fun to watch!
