Just a note, I lost one of the greatest women I knew tonite. Not from cancer or heart attack or anything like that but the end of a great life that passed peacefully. she lived through the depression, world wars, police actions, what ever came by.
She was a farm wife, mother grand mother ,great grandmother and would have been a great great grandmother next year.
She helped run a farm, less than 500 acres, but it raised crops, cattle, turkeys, what ever was needed, it raised the family, put kids through schools and colleges, My uncle was even fairly far up in Cummins even, oh and even beat cancer way back when.
Her and my Grandfather who passed away in 2000, raised kids, taught grand kids, had winter vacations in Florida and out west. Grandpa was an avid marks man and a very good farmer.
My drive to do right in my job and life come partly from this lady, and my grandfather and others, past and present.
Others in this family have gone on to do great things.
But one of the greatest has been the love shown to me, many times.
Like when my tonsils came out I stayed there while I healed.
After I had a bad wreck in 94, she made me what was one of my favorite dinners at grandmas, Fried chicken, if I was coming down. Guess you know I didnt miss THAT!
And she helped take care of my mother in 06-07 as she was getting ready for a liver/kidney trans plant and after.
This lady has been a so much to all of the family and she will be sorely missed.
So rest in peace Wilma Buchta, my grandmother. January 29, 2010. Your husband and my Grandfather await you in Heaven.
