Hey Everyone, so i've been playing with photoshop trying to learn so that I could try out some colors on my truck before i paint it this summer. I've found that i'm a photoshop flunky though and can't seem to ever get it right. I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm not asking for anyone to spend any time on this, i just wanted a rough idea of what it would look like. I don't have a picture of my truck on this computer so i borrowed an image from the web and also a fellow members color from his photochop experiments. Hope no one minds. :) What i'm wanting is this blue from the duster as the main body color, i want the hood satin black and two small strips running down the front fender from the top of the fender to the wheel well in satin black as well. I would like to see it with the rims i have which are the ones i attached as well, and if possible to see a version where the center piece of the rims are either black or a titanium/bronze color. Like i said i really dont want anyone to put much time into it unless they just like to do it, i just had some ideas and wanted to see them before i moved forward. I really appreciate the help.

I kinda wonder if guys can just afford to buy several hundred dollar software just to chop in wheels or if it's .... uh ... borrowed. If the software was paid for, chances are you could have saved the money and had it done properly for the same amount ... assuming it's a fairly current version (I know for the current price of CS4 I'd set you right up in a hurry). Apologies to the OP, continue on. I can see wanting to give it a try oneself completely. Search Google, you can do it, there are lots of tutorials out there.

haha, thanks for the support.. i think.. i was just trying out my hand using my cousins actually. My computer came with Adobe Elements i think it's called, but I haven't been able to do the things that i want to on it either that's why i tried his. anyway, I guess i was just way better at this in my highschool photography class back in the day. So to answer your question, i didn't run out and buy myself a copy, it would be wasted on my lack of skills. I was just hoping someone on here with some skills would help a guy out so he doesn't waste his money on software or paint. haha thanks everyone

Well to be fair, I've seen this same post about a thousand times by other people on many websites so I shouldn't have given YOU a hard time about it. There are people who will do it for you. If you're looking for more though, you know where to find me.

It's no problem man, I totally understand what you're saying. Anyway, I probably won't ever need a professional rendering for this truck, just wanted something quick and dirty before hand to decide on my paint. However, my wife and I are hoping to find a Nova or Chevelle in the next year or so, so I might need one for that car at some point. Right now it's up in the air, but we're both dying to have some old muscle sitting in the garage. I'm hoping to get my truck done first though so I don't have to share project money with another car. haha Thanks, by the way, I really like the rendering in your sig.

It never hurts to have the wife in on it too!

Yea i'm really excited she wants to build a project with me. Usually she's asking when i'll be coming back in from the garage. Hopefully if we get a car she's into she'll be out there thrashing on it with me.
