Happy Holidays Everybody!

My name is Marc and I live and work in New York with my wife and two year old.

I found this site after doing a few hours of research on handling upgrades for my 1967 Camaro RS roller. According to CarCraft (http://www.carcraft.com/featuredvehicles/ccrp_0409_chevrolet_camaro_pro_touring_vs_pro_stre et/index.html) this is the place for people like me.

I started out thinking Detroit Speed's front subframe and Heidt's rear IRS or Heidt's Pro-G all around were the way to go until I saw a few full frame options like THIS (http://www.streetrodgarage.com/camarochassis.aspx). I want my classic to handle. Full frame options seem like the superior approach. My other car is a 94 Mazda RX7 with an LT1/T56. IMHO the 3rd gen RX7 with a V8 is a pro-touring machine. The car has amazing handling and with the V8 is a beast. That's how I like my cars.

The Camaro is a new project. Its very rough; no engine, no tranny, no interior, no floor pan. I never wanted the original drive train or interior. My plan is to put a tame 375-400HP LS1 or 2 in it but have it handle like its on rails. When I got into performance driving and cars I slowly turned away from cars like the Porsche 911 because they are inherently flawed with the RR format, can't match the LS series in terms of torque/price and its more fun to build a ground up beast than to buy one. It also helps that I am into Hybrid Z's (http://hybridz.org/) and V8 Mazdas (http://www.norotors.com/).

I will more share pics later on.

Thanks,
Marc
