Only one option in my opinion for that sled......Ridetech! I have it on the Goat and love it. You can give it the slammed look but also ride like it was meant to ride when going down the road. They can help out with custom sway bars too, where most only laugh if you ask.
I love the car, saw the rendering on Lateral-g. Such a great body that year, and room for your 4 closest friends too!

Thanks Bill! Ridetech was exactly what I was thinking for my suspension.

that would be fantastic. And at just a tick over 4,000lbs, you may end up lighter than a new camaro.... depending on what you do to it. I can just imagine it as a huge car runs a better time than a new camaro. thats a video I want to see.
can't wait to see it built.

I just love to see this since I have a land yacht of my own....a 1963 buick electra convertible. Its a total stocker right now and is pretty fun to drive around in, but this build of yours is inspiring!

This Bonneville is also a complete stocker car as well. I think once the weather turns warmer I’ll be busting this thing out of storage and start stripping it down!

Too many ideas, too little garage...
I'd like to see a Wide track wagon done that way. Roof rack and all.

Wonder how many gallons it took to paint that barn?

Maybe its time to get the old girl out again...
This is definately our best "road" car. The ride is incredible [because the overall length and wheelbase is similar to a dually], the handling is amazingly sharp, and its got aobut 4000 watts of Kicker stereo...including [3] 12" Kicker subs and an AC/DC CD stuck in the CD changer :). The only thing it lacks is horsepower...not that hard to fix.
If anyone is up for a "Pro Boat" class...I'm ready!
Whaddaya think...ready for some hot laps at Gingerman in July?
BTW, Darren...that logo in the background is not THAT old...go look at the decals on the Bonneville!

Wow time flies,,,I remember Bret was working on parts for the dash in fall of 98 when I needed CoolRide for the rear of my 71 Monte Carlo. Installed it with individual lines, like we used to do for air shocks, and have a bladder tank air fitting at each corner of bumper. hit'em with about 65-70 psi and loaded her down with supplies and hit East Coast Power Tour. Got to hang out at Roush racing NASCAR shop in Mooresville NC. Me and buddy drove all night to hit one day of the East Coast Power Tour. Still have metal street sign from there.
One cool thing is that many none Pontiac specific parts are identical to A-body. I found out my spar Monte heater core is same as my 69 Ventura/Executive. I am gonna bet that a non AC heater box could be fabbed up to work out in engine compartment.
Maybe after my accident stuff gets settled I can ear mark some funds and resurrect the Ventura as well as my other two cars.
what would be awesome on Brets WIFES Bonnesville would be a properly built 400/428/455 with mild torque cam and some updated FI and maybe swap in a 6 speed auto or manual,,,,,,,,,,,,,OK I am dreaming about what I would do. Probably in most people would run out and look at LSx. Just trying to keep it all Pontiac, next best thing, older GTO LSx.
They did use the tag line in 69/70 its a business mans GTO with 428/455 HO.

"Pro Boat Class" - Bret... I think you are seriously onto something here. I've been itching to do a '70 Sport Fury!

That is one bad ass ride.... I love the concept and color combo. I have a 75 Delta 88 Convertible that I would have liked to done something similar too... But it really wasn't an option back in 95 when I did the Resto

Pro Boat? Hmmm There's possibilities there! I'll bet there's a lot of us on this forum with land yachts we just don't mention. I've had this one 20+ years and been driving it daily the past few months. 70 Wildcat 455 Stage 1 survivor a bud of mine ordered new. I've kept it mostly stock for no particular reason and it's like riding in a time capsule. So what did happen with the OP's 70 Bonneville vert? I had a 70 hardtop 455 one years ago.

I got a buddy with one that is thinking about making it handle.

My parents had a 73 when I was in high school [75-79]. I probably did more burnouts in that car than any other single vehicle I've ever sat in. Everybody who remembers the sound of an air cleaner lid flipped over...raise your hand!

Driving a large car aggressively is kind of like making out with the chubby girl in high school...it may not make you a hero, but it sure is fun!

I used to have one of those. I just showed my wife your rendering and she said - Aww "Da-Boat". That's what we used to call it. Great memories in that car.
Pro-touring that seats 6 comfortably. Go for it!
