Well hello friends!thought Iīd say hi,and let you know whatīs going on over in cold sweden.
My name is Vincent,and peolple usually call me vince,39yrs old,love cars and anything elsa with engines,and/or wheels.
got myself a beat up 62 chevy last summer,and now it looks like itīs turning in to a nascarish/pro touringish type of ride.
so far Iīve mostly been scraping bondo and paint of it,and complain about the messed up shape itīs in,BUT,howaever,Iīve started to form a plan and collect some parts.
Bought a 2002 8.1liter vortec engine out off an wrecked ambulance,that only had 25k on it,it was complete with harness,maf,computer etc.only thing missing is the water crossover,wich was destroyed in the crash.
after the engine arrived,I started fiddling with the front suspension,and after some ocular inspection,I started browsing egay for a corvette c4 frontend,and to make a long story short,I now have a 86 z51 frontend sitting in my garage,that will replace the old one very soon.
Iīve also decided on the wheels,wich was hard,as I wanted 15" nascar rims,but the vette frontend was more forgiving than I first expected,so I ordered some aero wheel 50 series from summit the other day,10" wide in front,and 12" wide in the rear,and some matching tires.
plans are for a t56 trans,havenīt decided yet if Iīm going to modify a std trans,or go for the new beefed up t56 magnum trans,opinions welcome.
well,thatīs about were Iīm at,will probably start a build thread in the appropriate forum,but donīt expect an awful lot to happen,as Iīm also very lazy:rotfl:
