Just another closed system prophecy. Could be true if nothing else changes, of course, since the technological rate of change is pretty high, it just won't happen. Look at what a quart of oil costs vs. synthetic. When they are about the same price, that's the time to start worrying.
All of these quacks make the assumption that since nothing changes, you can use current data to predict the future outcome. If that were true, cars never would have been made in the first place, and everyone would still be wondering what oil even was.
