I am currently in the market for some shockd for my 67 Camaro. The car has hotchkis springs, sweet mfg. box, with soon have caltracs or slidealinks. the car will see little track time, mostly street. i am looking to buy a set up decent shocks. I don't want an all out race shock and I am not looking to break the bank buying shocks. What is a good set of shocks that are good for street use and will be good for the strip. Any help is appreaciated. thanks

Probably the hotchkis tuned bilsteins.
^Hotchkis shocks are well tuned to hotchkis springs, makes it a no brainer. If you want to drag race, alot, and be competitive just pick up some real 90/10 drag shocks and slicks and swap them out when you want to drag.

I am either looking to get the hotchkis or the qa1 adjustable star stocker shocks. Do you guys still recommend the hotchkis all around instead of these?

I asked the same ? as you are and decided to get the hotchkis shocks to match the springs.

Do you like the hotchkis and could you notice a difference?

If you are interested in the QA1 shocks I have barely used set in perfect condition for sale. Send me a message if interested.

Actually give Ridetech a call they have double adjustable shocks that I have sent to several customers with out any other performance parts and they love them.
Big reason I went with them was they are close to me , and my mom lives like 1/4 mile up St Charles Street and the price is ok too.

I have a few friends that are unhappy with the performance of their QA1 shocks and are going to make a change. They seem like a good price, until you are unhappy and have to buy a set from somebody else. That's when car building gets expensive. If you don't want to spend a ton of dough, the Hotchkis Bilsteins are a great option.

Hey David,
Thanks for purchasing our springs for your ‘67 Camaro. Our HPS 1000 are tuned and manufactured by Bilstein to our specs which are designed to work specifically with the springs we sell.
