My 6-71 used 80/90 gear oil in the gear cases.

Not positive about Weiand, but Littlefield does (and change it once a year - ask me how I know...!)

I'm pretty sure there's a gear lube reservoir front and rear of supercharger. The oil gets contaminated with gas and needs to be changed at least yearly.

It's 70-90W gear oil. It should go in the hole by the front gear plate

588 cu in motor sitting underneath a 1471. Started losing power less than a year after it was first fired. No blower whine = no fun. I sent it to the blower shop and they said the oil was gone and it needed a bearings and a restrip. $750 later she's good as new...(but I felt like an idiot - is that what that site glass is for? Dooh!)
