69 Camaro with 68/RS Nose.

I have always suffered with never leaving anything alone, guessing with all we do to are cars I am not alone in this group.

I have always been in love with simplicity beauty of 68/RS nose, even more so with the front bumper removed.

I am about to start a new build, looks like the 68/69 share the some hood, header panel, cowl panel.

Is it as simple as ordering new 68 fenders and extension set, RS Grille Set, Upper grille molding, and what I love the most lower valance panel?

Please don't. The '69 fenders front and rear are matched and unique. Adding in '68 Fenders would probably require '68 doors to match the creases, both from the beltline and the rocker area. Then you would mismatched seams front to back. I think the look would detract more from the styling you want on the '68 nose more than the nose would add.

I agree. the front and rear are so different on a 68 to a 69, that they really wouldn't match.

If anything, get the 69 and do a custom grille insert that is styled after the 68. If you get a 69 RS front, you could easily match the full blackout covers and incorporate them into the 69 grille. Not only would it be easier in the long run, it wouldn't take away the value of the car as much as a pieced together car would. If you don't want the bumper, remove it and fill in the bumper reliefs. But a 69 bumper is already tucked in pretty good, simply painting it body color actually hides them pretty well.

at the danger of offending the owners of 67/68 camaros (of which there are many fine examples on this board) I've never quite appreciated the first 2 years. I feel Chevrolet didn't quite get it together until '69. the '67 nose is OK, especially the RS hideaway, but the regular '68 is atrocious IMHO.
a '69 nose w/ the endura bumper is about the pinnacle of 1st gen design, again, IMHO.

I own a 68, and to be honest, I'm not a fan of the standard front either. They kind of look like an after thought. But to me, the rest of the cars lines are better than the 69. From the side, the 67 and 68 look better and flow smooth. The 69 is too squared off for my taste, but they cetainly nailed the front of the 69 camaro.

I do think the 69 standards front grille and bumper section look far better, but for the RS, I think the 67 and 68 look better. I've never really like the 69 rs for some reason.

In my opinion, the 67/68 RS camaros are the best looking camaros ever.

I might be in the minority here, but I love that standard front on the 68s. They give it a classic and simplistic look.
