I have a .040 over 350 in my Nova that likes to sputter/kick back a few revolutions when i shut it off after it warms up. I dont know why. It dosent do it until the temps come up and the oil pressure has gone down. It does not do it cold. Ive had my initial timing anywhere from 14 degrees to 18 degrees and it kicks back just the same, and just for reference i run 30-32* of total timing. I have my carb dead nuts on with the transfer slots showing .020 and not a bit more, my float level is set right, i just set my valves. It does it with anywhere from 89-93 octane gas.{iusually run 89 ethanol cause its cheap and my DCR is low enough i could run beer and i wouldnt have detonation problems. My temps never go over 175 even in bumper to bumper cruises. The car idles between 1,000 and 1,100 RPM and is a stick shift car so theres no "in gear idle" I have a Digital 6 box, a blaster SS coil, and Mallory unilite distributer. And i just changed plugs. {Champion N 11 YC} I just dont get it, ive exausted all my options. Im tired of shutting the car off with the clutch so i dont look like an untuned dumbass at cruises. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

Quick specs on my motor look like this
11.1:1 350ci,
Brodix Race Rite200's,
howard cam 302/310, 268/[email protected], .562/.570, on a 108 installed straight up. {changing cam in about another month}
Team G single plain,
750 mighty demon,
1-7/8" super comps

try turning the idle down to 750 or 800 rpm,s. a stick car shouldnt have to idle that high.
