LS flywheel Vs Gen II SBC

I did a search but came up with nothing. Are there any major differences in a Gen II flywheel vs. a newer style LS flywheel (can I bolt a gen II to an LS). I have a custom made flywheel for the Gen II SBC to adapt to an Audi/Porshe transaxle. I really want to use a late model engine. The flywheel is smaller in diameter so it will fit in the bell housing and use a 240mm clutch. Everything else I can figure out but the flywheel is my biggest hurdle.

So this is what I have found so far. It's internet information so it may not be accurate.

A gen II flywheel will fit on the crank snout of an LS engine but the bolt holes would need to be redrilled to the LS bolt pattern. The dowel pin is in the correct location.

There may be an issue with the spacing of the flywheel in relationship to the bellhousing flange. The LS is approx. .400 inches toward the engine? I can work around the spacing issue as long as I don't have interference issues with the back of the engine.

My bellhousing inside diameter is 11.5" so I don't think there is a factory LS flywheel that would work.

Found the answer to my question. The Starter or getting the starter to the flywheel will be the big issue with the LS platform. Gen II SBC it is. Thanks everyone for all the help.

another option would possibly be a World block using LSx heads, I believe they were developing, possible idea.
