Hey everyone ,

Please keep David Sloan , our long-time good friend , fellow Pro-Touring member , and hobby supporter in your thoughts and prayers .

He is having some issues with cancer , and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

David is very soft spoken about stuff like this , and didn't want me to make a big deal out of it.
But , please pray for his recovery , call him , or send him a message .

As most of you know , David and I have been friends for over 25 years.
He is the best sort of person .
He and I have never had a cross word in all those years.
And he is an in-valuable friend to our hobby.
He and I help to organize the Peach State MuscleCar Challenge every year.
Without his input and support , the PSMC would never happen.

And he's a heck of a good car restoration guy.

Thanks Everyone

David, you are in my family's prayers. I have seen how difficult cancer can be and how chemo can just suck everything out of a person, so I can only imagine what you are enduring. Hang in there.

You are in our thoughts, David. Stay positive. My mom is going on 4 years as a survivor and as you and others at the RTTHs event know, she is wide open at 74. My step mom is also cancer free for several years after a bout with her liver and other areas. Look up Dr.Oz and check his stuff out.
Wishing you well, Bud.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Don't lose yourself to the other side of it all and most of all listen to your body and do what's best to stay alive. If you have any questions or need to talk to someone who really understands I will pm my phone # to you and we can talk.

Stay strong for your family as I have seen the other people around me have a harder time with it all than I did.

I still feel that I would be dead right now if it hadn't been for this.

www.watercure2.org/ I followed the program of lots of a water and natural sea salt and it changed everything in 3 days as to how I felt looked and thought when I was a bout dead from the treatments. You have to have all of your minerals to beat it.

You can do it!

I am praying that he is having the kind of fever that will burn the cancer up. I had a spell of very high heat sleeping one night before my chemo and I swear I could feel the cancer being different after. I was like a furnace putting out heat but I was cool to the touch. the wife said the room was 20 degrees warmer when she walked in and woke me up.

David, I only visit the site every once and a while since selling my '69 several years back, so I just saw this news today. Your one of the few people on the site that I've actually met in person several times over at the monthly summer Canton car show. Tina and I will include you, family, and your medical team in our praying. I know you're a very positive person, so that's a huge piece of the fight, as well as lots of fervent bible believing prayer and good moral Dr's/Nurses. Let's not forget your wife in prayers to lift her up, as I know my father is my moms #1 supporter and care giver in her fight.

Hey David, my Dad has fought bladder cancer on & off for over 10 years, on his next B-day he'll be 81. He started smoking when he was 9 years old-different times in those days. Believe it or not-the bladder cancer is brought on by smoking-he still smokes....Maybe if he would quit those things then he could get rid of it for good? Glad to hear you made it through the hardest part. it isn't the tastiest stuff to drink but if you need to get your weight back up Ensure plus really did help me. But it wasn't until I gave up the totally healthy eating frame of mind and started eating some icecream that I actually started to get more weight back. I still don't eat anywhere near as much sugar but I discovered that most of my top 15 lb was sustained by sugar.

Get your exercise and don't over do it, it would take a while to even get up out of a chair somedays but once I got moving I was ok.

I'm thinking of ya and hopefully in less than a year you will start to forget what the hell you just got hit by.

I look forward to seing you at an event.

I'm sure everyone already knows what a great guy David is. Let me just add my own little antidote. 2 years ago I posted up about how I was on the fence about selling my car after I had just pulled it from a shop that was bilking me. My wife and I were at a crossroads about what to do with it. I had a lot of good advice from the replies but David took the time out to send me a PM to discuss his thoughts about what direction to take and went as far as to provide his number and invited me to call him if I needed anything else. In this day and age that willingness to reach out and help a complete stranger doesn't happen nearly enough and that is probably why I appreciated it so much. Thank you David for offering to help and know that your simple gesture has reinforced my belief that the people here on this board make up one of the finest communities that a person could be a part of.
