hello everyone new guy here, ive been building 67-72 chevy and gmc pickups for the last 10 years and finally found the right deal on a couple muscle cars, i bought a 1971 chevy monte carlo, and a 1966 pontiac tempest. the monte carlo was 75% done and not running, and the tempest was a running and driving project needing a full resto

main body tub in black paint untill metal work is finished, most of the sanding and panel smoothing is done on what is being saved, still needs quarters, trunk, wheel tubs and rear deck lid, most recent photo

the monte carlo is pretty much staying in the direction its goin, im gonna finish the exterior with some different wheels, hopefully i will add some willwood brakes, a moser rear end, and some hotchis suspension, possibly lower it just a tiny bit. not to set on what im doin for sure yet though
the tempest is going to be a hodge podge of all the builds ive ever done. exterior im hoping to make it look like what i think a 66 tempest super duty would have looked like if pontiac had made one, under the hood is gonna be a 63 pontiac 421 big block(63 pontiac super duty power plant) built with old school proformance and a few modern reliability additives, interior will be plain, front bench seat, roll cag a few added gauges that a period correct,aluminum interior paneling covered in a color matched to the seat vinyl. there will be no heat and no ac, i am still up in the air about having a radio though. suspension wise i am going a different route, i want to be able to handle and brake with the best of them
