....on my Daily Driver
Alright....a short story is that i have owned this car for about 3 years. and actually dont own it as we speak but i went to talk to the bank today and should be buying it back from the guy i sold it to very soon.
well im coming to an end of exterior styling and i cant think of any out of the box ideas for it. Being a member on this site has made me LOVE the pro-touring look. So if i could get some ideas of what i could do to make it stand out from the crowd or just look plain BITCHIN, your help would be appreciated.
here are a couple bad pics of her.

it should be noted that i am a body man so body and paint modifications isnt a big deal. I know ill be changing the wheels eventually to most likely a black mesh wheel with a polished lip, but thats just a start.

pop a 2002 front end and RA hood on it....bigger spoiler. 315's on the back
I did the same exact rear treatment on my 98 TA
I'm amazed there isn't more offered for this car in the body department. Every one I see looks just like the last. Sad since it's such a beautiful design. If it was mine, this is exactly the route I'd take.
1. MR.Quicks right on the money. 98-02 front end with either a TransAm or Formula front bumper, and a universal front diffuser like in the first pick.
Trans am (front bumper lines flow into trans am side skirts)

2.This hood

3. Cut out the fake rear diffuser from the rear bumper and bolt on an aftermarket carbon fiber piece for a Rx7 or S2000
4. The 4th gens have huge wheel wells. With 18's, above low-pro tires, and lowering springs, they still appear to ride a little high. I think this chassis can pull off 20's without looking lame or cartoonish, as long as they're black. 20x8.5 with 245-45-20 front and 20x10.5 with 275-40-20 to 295-35-20 (28.13" tall for the 295) if you roll the fenders. That said, I'd buy these XXR 521's. Nice 3 piece look for a bargain price. I'd check with the backspacing/offset to make sure suspension clearance isn't an issue, but they should sit flush. Here is an awesome wheel spec calculator (http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp?item=Wheel-Tire%20size%20comparer&showRim1=1&showTire1=1&sw1=345&ar1=30&bd1=19&rd1=19&rw1=12.0&et1=10&showRim2=1&showTire2=1&sw2=345&ar2=30&bd2=19&rd2=19&rw2=13.0&et2=40&text1=&text2) to play around with. Depending on stance, a 1" spring drop might be needed?

Matte black metallic would look tough, but a dark shade of red would set everything off as well.
Hope this helps.

ash, who sells that splitter on that ta? I need one.
vince
Don't know to be honest. Vis (http://www.visracing.com/newcatalog/) & Extreme Dimensions (http://www.extremedimensions.com/) both have universal and model specific ones at very reasonable prices. If you take some base measurements of your front end and give them a call, I'm sure they'll find one that matches up. They make universal carbon side skirt splitters too.
Also, have a promo code from Super Street for up to 10% off at extreme dimensions "08i0ss"

i never thought about a diffuser from a different car....good thought
Thanks. Yeah, you'd be hard pressed not to find one that fits with minimal modification on a number of our cars. Offerings for S2000, RX-7, EVO, STI, NSX, Supras, 350Z, and SPOON Honda's. From mild belly pan design to crazy JGTC styled.

Swap the spoiler for a Formula / v6 spoiler. Dump it on 275's and 315's and make it go faster

Don't remember who, but there is a company that makes CF headlights that are recessed that replace the existing headlight/door assembly. Shaves two digits worth of weight off the nose of the car, and gives it a whole new look. Other than that, I'm partial to the Formula nose (as mentioned above), a Ram Air hood, swapping the rear spoiler for something a little less ostentatious, and the 275/315 combo.
