Ok, I knew it was coming, but !@#^%$!#@ UPS freight wasn't supposed to arrive until after 2:00 today (I scheduled that yesterday)... I got home a little before 2:00 to find this in my driveway:

At least they put it close to the garage door! At 335 pounds, it was a bit hard to drag into the garage by myself, but I managed.

This is Jake's front subframe and suspension for my 2nd gen Firebird project. I purchased it with the optional DOM control arms and Monoball control arm bushings. The knuckles and hubs are C6 pieces. Jake powder coated the arms in a Charcoal Metallic color, and the subframe is a satin black. Looks like UPS knocked a few scratches into the coating, but nothing too bad.

I'll tear into it a little more tonight, and into the car this weekend. :) I have a lot more pieces that should start arriving in the next week or so...

Very cool. I will be looking long and hard at Jake's Torque Arm setup when I get ready to throw money at a rear suspension. Are you going that route as well?

Wow, looks great! Good thing no one else in your neighborhood is working on a 2nd Gen, otherwise your driveway may have been empty. :)

Yep, Jake is in the process of assembling the rear housing, control arms, and Watt's link now. I should have those in a couple of weeks. This will keep me busy for a few days at least. ;)

Heh! Would love to have seen someone try and pick this thing up and carry it away! Actually, I wouldn't, but at the measured weight, they wouldn't have gotten very far.

I've never understood the UPS guys, they can leave a $1500 custom 5.56 upper receiver sitting on my porch all day but then bust my chops with the pick up notice run around with an $8 tee shirt. WTF!!!

Looks good Bryan, very glad you went the JRS direction.
