Does anyone know (hoping someone from Mast chimes in) if Mast has a tweak for their M-90 controller that will allow the engines to safely run on California Premium Pump Gas which is 91 octane vs the 93 found in most other places?

i have sold half a dozen of there engines. we only have 91 here in the northeast most times, and both street driving and track use have not been a problem.
There software is really nice, and has a bunch of cool features, like adjustable throttle response for the dbw, fuel pull rev limiter which is smooth, or firing order limiter which is conventional. among the few pages of tuning charts that you can do.
I am a dealer for them.

So the M-90 IS tuneable? Cool. I was under the impression, mistakenly it seems, that they were coded specifically to the configuration and locked down

they are unless you buy the software and cable, being proprietary you have to use there cable and software.

Hotrdblder is correct! Our ECM, when purchased with one of our crate engines, will be setup with the perfect tune for the engine and will run on 91 or 93 octane without any problems. When purchased separately the Mast M-90 ECM can be completely tuned for your application using the Mast Display Software and USB cable.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Has MAST ceased selling "standard" displacement LS engines?
It looks like 416cid is the smallest they are offering on their website.

True, as I was informed those engines were modified gm crate engines. NOT to be confused with their line of handbuilt crate engines. Mast has stopped offering modified GM engines, however the components are still available to upgrade your gm crate engine to those specs if you so desire. http://www.mastmotorsports.com/2010/category-view.php?cat=M-90 Performance Packages
Which engine were you looking at?

I don't recall which one specifically, but I was looking at one of the "standard displacement" (6.2l) engines in the 500hp range. In looking at the website, I think it was the LS3 530-ish setup. I really prefer the idea of a turnkey package.
