Please help I am looking for a way to make my hood tilt forward on my Nova. So it will have to go up and out to clear the grill. Does anyone have a conceptual idea of how to do this, or has anyone done it. I saw parsons but I think his grill sits farther back on a 66-67. PLease help.

I adapted a BMW 3 series setup for mine. I changed the length of the arms that attach to the radiator core to give me more grill clearance.

Them thar europeans are pretty smart fellers, I've owned a couple BMWs, I think there built rather well, I actually was looking for a replacement one the otherday,

Parsons do you think the same assembly would work on a 63 hood. I think that your grill is set back a little farther than mine. By the way how much did the brackets cost from the 3 series.

The whole setup (hinge, roller/anchors, latch, cable, and inside release) cost a grand total of $168. Not too bad at all. I got it all from Bavarian Automotive (http://www.bavauto.com) here on the East coast.
I don't think you'll have any more difficulty than me in terms of grill setback. I'd go take some measurements ... but my car is getting painted right now.
