i got offered a 1968 el-camino tonight for a pretty good deal. i really never liked the front ends on those. i was wondering if the front sheetmetal would interchange from another a-body, like a cutluss or tempest. maybe a skylark.

any catches that id need to worry about? ir take the good deal, and hopefully swap it for the 64 i really want?

I personally would wait for what I really want. Sounds risky to attempt to "blend" the front ends from two different built vehicles, even though they are on the same frame. It can definitely be done if the money is right, i.e. hire a top custom shop if someone couldn't do the work themselves. That's just my humble opinion.

The sheet metal will physically bolt up but the body lines will never match up. The only thing that even comes close is a 69.
