Hello, I joined the forums to get information toward what I want to build. I have a daily driver that is a 2008 Trailblazer SS AWD, love the 6.0 ls2 and the awd makes driving it around in winter possible. I am also a student at NDSU in Fargo, ND.

At home I have a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe up on stands. The floors and trunk have been replaced, not pretty but it was all done with the help of a hired hand on the farm. Lucky for me he is a great welder, and now has his own shop.

I want to take the pro-touring route with a twist. I would like to go where most muscle cars wouldn't and that is see how feasible an All-Wheel Drive system would be to fit in with the olds 350 (someone blew up the 400) that is in there, or an LS-series engine. I would like to end up with a 2+2 coupe that is one of a kind. For the AWD I am unsure where to look, I thought a skyline AWD setup might be a good choice due to the weight of those cars, and the ability to take abuse since some skylines see a lot of track use.

Being from North Dakota this would be mainly a highway car. It is 160 miles or so home with solid interstate cruising at a hair over the limit of 75 mph. If I went with the AWD route I would like to make it a little more luxurious inside with upgraded materials and modernize it. If I kept it RWD I would probably build it up for a Pro-Touring corner carver/very mild track car.

Currently the quarters need replacing as well as some work on the front fenders. It was a scarlet red 442 with a vinyl top and no stripes from what I can tell. Everything appears to be there. The buckets and dash are in great shape.

Here are some photos from when I got it about 4 years ago. I had to talk my dad into this, and it takes a backseat to farm work when I am home. Got to get it done though to show my brothers 1982 Datsun 280ZX up now.
