Research, man, lots of research. If you post pictures we can probably help identify what's there now and make suggestions but doing your homework is by far the best way to make sure you end up with the car you want.

Tobin @ www.kore3.com is the C5/6 man. He will set you up. If you have stock spindles, it all just basically bolts on. If you have drums in the front, you have one less thing to buy, as the C5 fronts spin on stock drum hubs in the swap. The only machinine work likely to be necessary is getting those drum hubs turned down a touch on a lathe, unless you opt for new hubs that are designed to fit.

As for brakes you see lots of good brands come by, i have been fooling around with SSBC my frinds with Wilwood ore bear. then i wanted to go more race like 80/20
sins then i was pointed out to http://www.thebrakeman.com/ tru a wel known and highly respected vendor on this forum who thussend sell this brand bij the way!! and is known as one of the leading exsperds on suspention tech. Right now im waighting for my Brake set with the ATS AFX spindels.
Take a good look at the tech page and articels and convinse yourself this is the way to go...

We have had very good luck with the hotchkis TVS package and a nice baer or wilwood disc kit. We are able to package everything from hardlines, boosters, master, props, ect.....one stop shop. We are very passionate about brakes and suspension. Feel free to ask any questions you may have we have seen it all in the last 10yrs and the brake/suspension market has come a long way and true bolt on parts have improved tons!

There are tons of choices but we can easily help you narrow it down based on needs and budget!

A-body GM. Well convertibles have boxed frames, so my mods would be:
Ridetech air ride set up.
ATS spindles with C5 or C6 brakes up front, if you are going to do any dragracing look at swapping on S10 rear discs and still clear 15 in wheels.
To stiffen the car Ridetech TigerCage.
If your keeping the SBC for now maybe upgrade to a 4L60E/4L80E w/paddleshifter, if stick upgrade to the Keisler clutchless shifting manual box. After you take off with clutch you can shift up or down without it.
Wheels are up to owner, but honestly some 18" Rushforth Splitters and Nitto tires
Just some ideas.
Oh and some fun under the hood when you get tired of the 400sbc.
An LS9 supercharged corvette engine, or something similar with twin turbos,,.
But just my dreams

All great ideas.Make sure your wheel diameter will fit over the rotor/caliper you select. Most of the brake specialists will have a templete you can print out to check this.
