https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/images/misc/pencil.pngThis is a different shell than what we started with. A guy brought me a black on black bucket seat factory sunroof car to build from the ground up but was so rusty the only good panel was the factory sunroof top-so hence the name! lol This will be a fun build....BMW deep ocean blue metallic with silver, two tone, 3" drop and 17x9 all around. Lots of mods with this one so stay tuned...I have a lot more pics to post. Here's a sample of some stuff I started on prior to prepping new frame.

Well, spent tonight switching the bucket seat/console brackets over to the new shell which was a bench seat car. Mocked up the seat bases for the late model Oldsmobile leather seats, dropped motor/tranny in place on frame-fought the new motor mounts for almost two hours, then finished stripping the frame of all lines, clamps and misc. stuff. Started grinding down the crappy factory welds/spatter and filling in some spots with weld before grinding that down....looks much nicer now. I have some rear floor braces to replace on the shell and it can sit down on the frame once I finish prepping/painting it. Hopefully by the weekend I can do that...oh yeah, I also sandblasted the pedals and metal column support and painted those pieces too. Hafta get those bolted back in place so I can install the quick ratio gearbox and put the column in so I can at least move the car easier. I also plan on boxing in the frame and relocating the brake/fuel lines to the inner part of the frame. Its been a good day!
