1972 C/10 project.....

Well I haven't had any thing to work on in a while. So the other day my mom called me to see if I wanted my Step Dad's ol'truck. So needless to say here it is! I didn't think it was in the condition it is in but when its free......what do you say! So I hope to be working on it some but can't do too much till we sell our house. So here are some pic's. I hope to get this thing to the RAT ROD state before to long.

The trucks were Dad's.

The clean frame is under a C10 that has a '67 Clip and fleetside short bed.

The other is a '69? 250/3 on the tree step side.


Yes one day I'll get that Chevelle on the road when I get $$$ if I don't decide to move on to Mom's ride. ;)

Well I finally found me a complete frt clip from a 68. I found a guy locally here that has a yard full of these yrs. He has every part you can imagine!! And if your into these yr suburbans....he has about 40 of them!!

Oh yea, he said he would sell me used bed sides for $350. In good shape!! Then all I like is my floors!! Oh yea, I forgot tires, wheels, suspension, interior.....you know all the CHEAP STUFF!!!!!!!

Not sure yet, I am wanting to get the patch panels in place first and smooth the firewall. Then see what is next. What all do you have?

Well I got my fenders back yesterday. They are ready, so now the bed will be next. It will be quicker....compared to the cab!!!

I ended up replacing this side of the bed. At one time the truck had been hit. So now I am going to have to paint the truck all over. I was hoping to leave it kinda patina'd. So I'm looking at doing the HOT ROD FLATZ colors to it.

Love seeing all these old truck builds. Makes me wish I had more money to do both my 69 Mustang and my 77 GMC Truck. My father lives in Savannah. I might have to get that guys number for parts as well. Really thinking about getting a 67-72 Truck now.

Got the frame pressure washed! Its killing me not to disassemble this but I'm trying to keep it low budget!! Everything else I have ever done has been completely taken apart.
