You've really outdone yourself, I hope you bring it to some local car shows when its done so i can take a look at it. Was the exhaust custom built to clear the minitub stuff or is it an off the self item?

Black is very befitting of that car. Absolutely gorgeous! I really like the monochrome front bumper, it adds a nice subtle touch to the front end.

What have you got planned for the interior?

Awesome. Car looks great, except there is one problem. The black paint looks to good to drive it. :) I wish I had that problem.

Looks awesome.

I would love to see some interior and engine shots.

My only issue; Why paint the front bumper (which looks great) and not do the back. It would have looked better as both chrome or both monocromatic, but not one of each. IMHO.

Regards,

Rube

P.S. Nice collection of toys. Almost rivals mine. : )

Thanks guys, it's been a longtime comimg. I just snapped a few shots before leaving this morning. I will get more pictures of the engine compartment ect. later.

Rube1966, I had another '69 that I did that to and didn't like the look. When these cars were ordered with the endura bumper, they didn't have color coded rear bumpers either..

Thanks again for all the support.

Street,

Understood and agreed.

I was just checking out your web page. NICE!!!

You have great taste, I just bought HRE 547s for my snake also. I also noticed to put on a Roe Racing blower, also nice.

Are those VCA vipers from the St.Louis invitation by any chance? I was their also, and the views look similar.

Regards,

Rube

PS - Now that I have seen your complete toy box...I will be a man.....you win. I think you need to add a Harley though. : )

SW, that car is beautiful. Definitely worthy of hanging out with your other cars!

Will you be adding any emblems or trim to the car? The stance is perfect.

My next project will probably be black also, to match the C6 Vette.

Thanks again guys, I started working on the interior last night.

Tony, the only additional trim I'm adding is the windshield wipers. :) Btw, I'm already thinking about building either a small block 427 or 434, but I'm going to drive it around like it is for a while..

As far as the interior, I was going to put some ZO6 seats in it, but they look too tall. I'm going with factory seats done in blk comfortweave until I find something I like more. I was talking with Kyle@ DSE and he said they use some Recaros and remove the headrests..

Rube1966, those pictures were at the Dallas VOI last year. My red car does not have the Roe Blower on it anymore, it's all motor 510 stroker. It makes 704 rwh..

thanks again for all the nice comments, I will post more pictures as I get closer,

SW - what did you do to the drip rail moldings? is the chrome trim painted or are the gutters just smoothed/filled and painted?

They are smoothed& filled.

96Z28SS, the front is 8.5 w 5.25 bs, rear is 12.5 w 7.25 bs. It has a 9" DTS rear end that DSE narrowed 2" on each side.

TJ, thanks again, I will be home all weekend, just call..

Sorry, I'm wrong, the drip rails are still there, but the front gap has been welded and smoothed/painted. I have been working on it all weekend, got the stereo system done and more of the interior done. Here are a couple of shots of the motor..
