Well, it's been awhile since I have posted anything current on the Chevelle but I thought I'd share what I have come up with for a dash insert for this one-should fit 1967 too but have to check first. I built a fiberglass console which I have to post pics of but here's the bezel mockup on hardboard: It'll be laser cut from steel once I have all the revisions worked out. It's designed to directly replace the ugly long sweep speedo they have. For layout impact, it looks best with a speedo, tach and three other gauges. For this car, I am using the center gauge as a nitrous pressure switch since I have included an "ARMED" illumination under the gauge. This is truly an easy swap using the same screws that secured the old gauge housing to the plastic bezel. I opted to scuff and paint the plastic trim bezel since the chrome was wearing off anyway. I have several dash insert ideas on the table but this one has made it the furthest...lol.
