This is a Team Associated SC8e. Electric. Brushless 2200kv and a 6s Lipo battery. With paddles. I clocked it GPS at 68 mph on my street and that was 3/4 throttle.

Insanely fun and it lasted about 2 hours of fun before running out of battery.

awesome!!
I just bought an Emaxx from ebay, here is the description from the ad:
WOW...Check out this Truck. Its a Traxxas E-Maxx with a Novak HV Pro ESC&Brushless Motor system!!! This truck was nicknamed The "URBAN LEGEND" Trust me this thing is very FAST and is loaded with upgrades. To start it has a Hitek HS-5645MG Digital Ultra Torque Steering Servo,Integy Piggyback Shocks all the way around,Rear Aluminum Bulkhead,Integy Aluminum A-Arms,Aluminum Skid Plates,Aluminum Nerf Bars,Integy Aluminum Rear Shock Tower,Aluminum Rear Shock Tower(Not Installed)Aluminum Front Bumper,Aluminum Front and Rear Turnbuckles,Two Sets of Wheels and Tires,And a Proline Ford F-350 Body. There are some RPM parts on this Truck as well. If you bought this truck New Like it sits with all the upgrades it would cost close to $1300.00 The truck does NOT come with a radio. You won't find another Truck Like This!!! There is NO Reserve on this truck so Good Luck and Happy bidding!!!

I would attach a pic, but I can't figure out how to with the new site here.......!

Nice truck...And nice beach area....

I got out of RC quite a few years ago but been looking at http://www.rcshortcourse.com/ lately and thinking of getting back into it either 1/10th or 1/8th scale.....I like the scale realism look of this 2wd with it's solid rear axle...

I'd have to relearn alot not to mention trying to catch up with the current stuff....

I have been contemplating bringing my Tmaxx out of retirement. I have done soo much stuff to it, the only stock pieces are the spindles... What beach were you at? Maybe we can have a jam session one of these days.

It's incredible how much better the technology is today vs. when I was into these. Back in the mid 80's, before Losi made cars, the RC10 buggy was it, the Optima was on the heels of Associated, etc. Gas was for big-$ racers and usually only 1/8-scale road. "Open" motors cost $75, and you specified 16-wind, 18-wind, etc. 1200mh NiCad batteries. It was a ton of fun, and someday I'll get my boys into it.

I made the Trinity Nationals A-main in both two and four wheel drive classes for 1/10-scale buggies, an Optima 2wd and a 4wd that I can't remember now, back in something like '89. Both were highly modifed, sort of P-T for the day. I'd spend hours modifying everything to reduce friction, from the suspension pins, gearbox mesh, weight placement, etc. The world champion was a japanese teenager driving with a stick radio!

you get 2 hours of run time on LIPo and brushless. I diched electric for gas because of run time. But ditched it all togethr because of the money gas cars require to stay in one peice.

2 hrs on one battery pack .....Man, they have come a long way.... The origional short run time is what drove me into a 1/8 2wd Associated RC500 then helped pioneer 1/4 scale in Vegas with a WCM Stock Car....
I enjoyed all scales and at one time I had at least one car in each scale....

Man! that sucker runs like a scalded cat!
I like the almost-silent engine vs. the gas powered ones.

Oh god no!!! RC cars and I go way back, i've been around them over 10 years, owned about 8 and spent thousands haha
Right now I found comfort in drifting, much cheaper and really really fun, I love nitro to death but will never own another, to fidly and expensive and electric has taken a big step over the last 3 years.

Very cool. I have a Buggy (X6) & Truggy (XTM Mammoth ST Pro), but have been looking high and low for an Ultima SC-R to no avail. Looks like I'm going to be buying new.

I also collect old 1/8th onroads. Mostly BMT (for all the old-timers that remember those).

Good Times
RC is a lot of fun I used to drive for Team Losi about 10 years ago, Did really well and almost won the California state champs back then and was contributing editor for RC Action Magazine later on

Todd,
I remember BMT... Also remember running against the likes of Ron Paris and his screaming motors when there'd be a big race in Vegas....
I also ran in the short lived "Super Nationals" in Vegas when they ran events for all scales at one venue in one long weekend......

Love RC and still have one that I have had for a few years, Sold the T-MAX back in 2005,still have my Serpent Vector, all bearings, every option that was made for the car Paris-Rex R1 Nova Rossi engine ( basically just balls out speed, really too much at times that I used the brake more than the speed control lol..I started in the hobby around 1985 and there was not much as high end cars go,it was awhile before I got the Serpent, and just the kit alone back in 2001 was over $400.00 I then tossed $550.00 for the "must have'' R1 Nova Rossi engine and pipe, I ran it a few times and cleaned it and it looks as it does new,I just don't have the track here for it and the time anymore. I still love the hobby though, the cars are better and the parts are advanced works of art.

Wow beautiful, yeah the Serpent kits are top notch and the Rossi engines are like Ferrari's but damn do you pay for it! Those Prototypes I always loved and thought they were so cool looking, the F1 of RC's. But I never had the money, like you said, 450 for the kit, then another 500 for the engine and pipe then another 450 forthe radio.....lol
It's amazing how the hobby has advanced though, even the things I remember a few years back, I remember when 2200maH was a hot battery! Haha

I think I may have to get one of those SC8e's, just too damn cool. Who wants my Tmaxx?

Really though, who does?

Sold my 3.3 Revo less than a year ago. When I lived in Glendale I loved hitting this gnarly offroad track in sun valley area. Moved and lost interest so I sold it kinda regret it cause some friends are now getting into them lol.

Seriously these can go 2+ hour run times? I'm having a hard time believing that is normal now.

Building this stretched Savage. Its 1/5 scale with 6s Lipo and a Castle Creations Mamba Monster. About 5hp. Things going to be a riot. I'll be running HPI baja wheels/tires too

Well, I'll take your frame off your hands! I was just messing around with my EMaxx and it took a bad hop into the TINY ledge on the edge of the driveway with the front skid plate........at full throttle!! And it is a NOVAK brushless powered unit that is a bit speedy! Needless to say, it didn't like the abrupt stop!!
Where would the best be to get a front frame or whatever it is called? Anyone?
