I haven't posted here much over this build up but I thought I would show a bit of my new car before SEMA. My car will be in the Optima booth so if you make it to SEMA swing by to say hi. I've been beating on my car getting it ready for the Optima Shoot out Nov. 6.

I've been AutoXing, going to open track events and practicing the speed stop challange. The car is working well with only a few small problems.

Here are the high level specs on the car:

Brembo brakes from a Z06 application
C-6 Corvette ABS system
18X10 Forgeline wheels with Goodyear 275/30R18 tires
19X12 Forgeline wheels with Goodyear 325/35R19 tires
DSE Dash
Autometer Sport Comp II gauges
Recaro Style seats
Paint and Body work by Paul and Joe VanNus
VW Salsa Red.

The video gives me goose bumps! I can't wait to see it. If you need any passenger side ballast at OUSI I'm your man. LOL!

I understand how to make the ABS work on the front with the c6 based front suspension, but how did you get the ABS to work with a 9" rearend? I would love any advise or insight that you are willing to share. I have always loved the cars youve build. Always amazing and cutting edge stuff.

Killer.. oh, you're in the next issue of CP :)

What the heck is a 40-foot slalom? Our's is 420 feel with 6 70-foot gates.. and we run an average speed.

Need to bring that bithc to CA so we can test it proper like ;)

Killer car and killer performance numbers..

Herbs right, I had a front row seat at Gingerman race track this June. I spun out to the inside of turn 9 and watched several laps of Mark and the others entering 10 at speed. My go - pro was running but did not catch the flames out the exhaust as he dove into 10, Red Devil dove in hard trailbraking into the apex, it was incredible to watch.

Just curious, are these tire sizes correct? Its a little more "big and little" than I would have expected. 24.5 diameter front and 27.96 diameter on the rear.

Note to self ... charge Nikon camera batteries for Saturday.

I'm not going to speak for Mark, but I think the aspect ratios are switched around. Those tires are about the same used on the C6 Z06, which makes the ABS happy.

I saw both of Marks camaros as SEMA. It was my first SEMA and first time I have seen any of his cars in person. Very nice cars, very nice craftsmanship. Great engineering. Thanks for giving me something to strive for with my car............Mike Wright
