6l80/6l90 TCM location

Hello All,

I am trying to locate the TCM in the 6l80/6l90 transmission, but can't seem to find it. Is it the black box underneath the valve body?:confused:

Unless GM changed something, the TCM is mounted in the car not in the transmission. All you have is a transmission, now you need to buy a controller/harness. Try giving Bowler transmissions a sponsor on here a call/

Pretty sure its in the computer but I dont know if its what you think it is. Sorry. The 6L80 is a different animal...thats for sure.

The 6L80E & 6L90E TCM is in the transmission. It is bolted to the valve body. I have attached a photo below.

came accross you Photo of the 6l80 TCM, which was a big help, and wondering if you have removel instructions for the TCM?
